We have so many new followers here so an introduction is due! ✨ Hi, I’m Audrey — the founder of Glazed Sunless and the spray tan artist who got my start in this industry in a tiny home studio 12 years ago, and somehow ended up building one of the fastest-growing solution brands in the industry. 🤎✨ Before Glazed Sunless existed, I spent years perfecting my craft, eventually owning an award-winning studio in San Diego, CA known for natural, true-to-tone tans. Being behind the gun for so long showed me exactly what artists needed… and also what didn’t exist yet. So I set out to create it. Glazed Sunless actually began in a corner of my apartment as a one-woman operation — packing orders, answering emails, formulating ideas, and dreaming up what this brand could become. It has been the most fulfilling leap of my life. I wanted to create products that felt effortless, innovative, colors that mimicked what the sun could create, but better, and education that made artists feel confident—not overwhelmed. But more than anything, I wanted a community where artists felt supported and seen. Every product, idea, and creation comes from being in your shoes, listening to artists, and wanting to genuinely evolve and elevate the sunless space. My favorite part of all of this? Glazed Friday started exactly how you’d expect: Six of us, caffeinated within an inch of our lives, staring at the website countdown like it was the ball dropping on New Year’s Eve. 12:00 AM EST hits… And suddenly — BOOM. O
Glazed Friday started exactly how you’d expect: Six of us, caffeinated within an inch of our lives, staring at the website countdown like it was the ball dropping on New Year’s Eve. 12:00 AM EST hits… And suddenly — BOOM. Orders didn’t just roll in. They detonated. Within just a few minutes, our system jumped to well over 200 orders and 300 people on the website at the exact same time. I swear if websites could sweat, ours would’ve been dripping. And then… the chaos really began. Smoke Show — our second most stocked solution — held on for dear life for maybe 30 minutes before it was wiped out. GONE. Cart-jacked. Vaporized by spray tan artists with Olympic-level speed. From there? The day turned into a blur of dings, notifications, us packing as quickly as we possibly could. By mid-day, we had already blasted past 3,000 bottles gone. Record. Breaking. Meanwhile, behind the scenes? Just picture five of us running around with tape guns, printers screaming, labels flying, and boxes stacked high. We knew we’d be working through the entire weekend, but wow. wow. wow. We wouldn’t have it any other way. Because Glazed Friday isn’t just “a sale.” It’s the one day a year where the entire Glazed community shows up louder, bigger, and crazier than ever. It’s the artists refreshing the site at midnight. It’s the DMs freaking out when their favorites start selling out. It’s the loyalty. The excitement. The energy. And it’s YOU — showing up and showing out every single year. From spray tanning clients in my shower, to a makeshift studio in my kitchen after a terrible break up, to getting laid off from my job as a flight attendant and having no idea what was next… To packing up my entire life, moving to a new city where I didn’t know a soul, and chasing a dream I hoped would feel bigger, brighter, and more “me.” To being voted #1 spray tan business in San Diego, yet still DoorDashing at night just to make rent… To building Glazed Sunless from the corner of my apartment, surrounded by boxes, bottles, and a fire inside me that refused to die… To where we are today — a community, a brand, a movement — something I used to only picture in the quiet moments when I was unsure but hopeful. If there is one thing I’ve been through my nearly 12 years as an entrepreneur, it’s relentless. I don’t give up. I don’t back down. Even when it didn’t make sense. Even when no one else could quite see the vision but me. And I’m so unbelievably grateful that I didn’t quit — because it led me here. To a life I love.
